Philadelphia’s coolest suburb, Phoenixville, PA, a town known for its vibrant community and rich history, has become a prime destination for those seeking luxury apartment living. With a variety of upscale luxury apartments to choose from, including Riverworks, Phoenix Village, Luxor Lifestyle Apartments, and The Phoenix, residents can enjoy an elevated lifestyle complete with high-end features, premium amenities, and the perfect location to enjoy all that Phoenixville has to offer.
The other day, I walked down the Schuylkill Trail headed toward the Gay Street Bridge (aka “High Bridge”) and found myself under the bridge and right in front of a mural of a phoenix just as the sun was rising… on the side of The Phoenix, the newest luxury apartment community here in Phoenixville, PA.
For the rest of the day, I kept thinking about how nice it would be to live at The Phoenix and have the sun shine through my windows every morning. The thought of living in a luxury apartment with a brand-new kitchen, a spa-like bathroom, walk-in closets, and access to a pool was really tempting me, so I decided to book a tour to take a closer look.
The Phoenix: I looked at a 1bd/1bath and a 2bd/2bath. I found the apartments to be well-lit, spacious, and well-appointed. I like that each one has a balcony, and the ones on the 4th floor have a trellis top (and I was told it would be okay to grow a vine on it).
The community amenities at The Phoenix are still under construction, so I was not able to tour them; however, the artist renderings on their website offer an idea of what to expect when they are completed. I was told that the gym and other community areas would be ready in January 2025 and the pool in the summer of 2025.
Overall, the apartments I looked at in The Phoenix felt like a haven of refined living, where every detail has been carefully crafted to exceed expectations. The open floor plan and nearly floor-to-ceiling windows bathe the space in natural light, while elevators and controlled access ensure convenience and security.
If I ever decide to live at The Phoenix, I will definitely want an east-facing corner apartment on the 4th floor. (Yes, I am that particular!) I plan to go back and tour one of those and see the community areas when construction is finished.

Of course, that first tour led me to decide to tour the other three luxury apartment communities in Phoenixville for comparison.
Here are the other apartments I toured:
Luxor: The community manager, Farrell McVay, gave us a tour of a 1bd/1bath+den and a 2bd/2bath. She is very friendly and actually lives on-site, and I could tell she really enjoys the community.
The numerous community amenities and common areas had a contemporary look, and the apartments had a spacious yet cozy feel. I was surprised that I liked the first-floor 1bd+den apartment so much as I thought I would prefer one of the upper levels, but it makes sense since the first-floor has an extra foot of ceiling space (10′) and the view of the courtyard gives it a really nice vibe.
The pool was small but definitely had a luxurious feel with the waterfalls and infinite edge. The Luxor hosts fitness classes, weekly resident events, and a BYOB bar, and it was apparent to me that they are really embracing the community/lifestyle aspects of apartment living.
The one thing that I felt was missing from the Luxor was the lack of balconies; however, as I said, I really liked the layout of the 1bd w/ a den and if I ever do decide to live at the Luxor in the future, I would want to be on the ground floor facing the outdoor courtyard as it had a “garden apartment” feel that I liked a lot.
Riverworks: Leasing consultant, Dana Furmanak, gave us a tour of two different layouts of a 2bd/2bath apartment at Riverworks. One was a corner unit that had a corner balcony, giving it a more spacious feel.
Riverworks is the largest of the luxury apartment communities in Phoenixville. It it conveniently located and has a pedestrian bridge that connects to the Schuylkill River Trail and downtown.
The apartments feel spacious and have beautiful kitchens with stainless-steel appliances, granite countertops, modern espresso cabinets, and tile backsplashes.
While I thought the apartments were very nice, I was most impressed by the community amenities at Riverworks, in particular the resort-style pool, the clubroom, and the fitness center—it even has an indoor rock-climbing wall!
Before deciding to move to Riverworks, I would want to see a few more layouts (all of their 1bd w/den are currently unavailable), but overall, the many amenities make this a solid choice.
Phoenix Village: These apartments are ideal for someone who wants to be right in the center of everything that’s happening in Phoenixville. They are centrally located right on Bridge Street, and in fact, they are pretty much the entire 200 block of Bridge Street, with one wing that extends all the way to Main Street behind Molly Maguires and the other down to Sedona Taphouse. I was actually shocked to learn that as I had no idea and have walked by them thousands of times.
We were greeted by Domenech Plaza, a leasing professional who has lived on site for the past 8 years, who gave us a tour of a 1bd, a 1bd w/den, and a 2bd. They all had super high ceilings, and I liked the fact that the two-bedroom we toured had two balconies.
I believe Phoenix Village is the only luxury apartment in Phoenixville that offers three-bedroom floorplans, although I did not get a chance to tour that one. The large resort-style swimming pool, business conference room, and movie theatre stood out as really nice amenities. In addition, they offer a fully furnished apartment that residents can rent for out-of-town guests.
If I decide to move to Phoenix Village, I would want a trail-facing apartment on one of the upper floors; the one we toured had a wall of windows with a view of the creek and the trail but felt very private.
I can understand why Phoenix Village is rented to 98% capacity. If you want to be right in the heart of Phoenixville, you can’t go wrong with one of these apartments.
Luxury Apartment Features
All of these communities have prime locations, tons of social events, and high-end features, supporting a busy and dynamic lifestyle and making it easy to balance work and leisure. I found all of the apartments that I looked at to have very similar features, including:
Gourmet Kitchens
The kitchens in these luxury apartments are obviously designed for both functionality and style. Outfitted with top-of-the-line appliances, granite countertops, and modern cabinetry, these gourmet kitchens are perfect for culinary enthusiasts and entertainers alike. All had open kitchens, and some had islands, so whether you’re hosting a dinner party or enjoying a quiet meal at home, the well-appointed kitchen spaces are sure to enhance your cooking experience.
Spa-like Bathrooms & Walk-in Closets
I was a bit surprised at the bathrooms, all of them were very nice, much nicer than my own bathroom, but none of them seemed as “spa-like” as I imagined a luxury apartment bathroom would be. Again, don’t get me wrong, they are very nice, but just not quite what I expected. Most of the apartments I toured had large, walk-in closets; the largest was the one at Riverworks, which was a walk-thru from the master bedroom to the master bathroom.
High Ceilings and Spacious Layouts
With high ceilings and open floor plans, these luxury apartments exude a sense of grandeur and elegance. The spacious layouts ensure that residents have plenty of room to relax, entertain, and live comfortably. The combination of ample natural light and thoughtfully designed interiors creates an inviting and stylish living environment. While all of the communities had high ceilings, Phoenixville Village wins hands down for ceiling height… I actually have no idea how high they were but I would guess at least 12 feet in one of the ones I toured.
Washer/Dryers
Convenience is key in these luxury apartments, with washer and dryer units included in each home. This feature saves residents time and effort, allowing them to manage laundry without leaving the comfort of their apartment. It’s a small touch that significantly enhances daily living.
Luxury Amenities
While the apartments I toured were all very nice, the community amenities were what I found to be most enticing and these are the reasons I would consider moving to a luxury apartment in Phoenixville. Unfortunately, the community amenities at The Phoenix are still under construction, so I was not able to tour them.
Pools
Each apartment community offers a resort-style experience with access to beautifully designed pools. These aquatic amenities provide a perfect spot for relaxation and recreation, offering residents a refreshing escape during the warmer months. Since I do not have a dog, I didn’t ask too many questions, but it was clear that all of these communities welcome residents with pets. Riverworks actually has two pet parks and a pet space, as well as two acres of outdoor space for you and your furry friend to explore.
Outdoor Living Spaces
Embrace the great outdoors with thoughtfully designed outdoor living spaces. These communities all had grills for BBQs, offering residents the opportunity to cook and enjoy meals outside. Comfortable and stylish seating areas provide ideal spots for relaxation and socializing and amenities such as bocce ball courts, cornhole, and other outdoor games add a fun and engaging element to community life.
These outdoor amenities encourage residents to spend time outside, enjoying fresh air and socializing with neighbors in a beautiful and well-maintained setting.
Proximity to Downtown Phoenixville and the Schuylkill River Trail

Is Luxury Apartment Living in Phoenixville for me?
When I first decided to look at The Phoenix, I thought that luxury apartment living might be for me and that I just needed to figure out which one would best suit my lifestyle. After looking at all of the luxury apartment complexes in Phoenixville, I am unsure. I definitely liked them all and they all have pros and cons. The thought of having a pool and a gym that are so easily accessible is tempting, and the idea of being a part of a tight-knit community seems pretty neat.
One of the big deterrents for me is that I like having a yard. I also like having the option of smoking cannabis, and that is not an option in these communities, even on the balcony. Once the cannabis dispensaries near Phoenixville start offering edibles, maybe I will reconsider.
I can say that after looking at the luxury apartments, there is no way I would ever be happy in a standard apartment complex, so I do not even need to bother looking at any of those. I probably will look at some of the loft apartment communities in Phoenixville at some point, but for right now, I guess I am not quite ready to make a change.
