Phoenixville, PA — We were so lucky to live on Mill Street in Phoenixville, PA, when we first moved here a few years ago because it’s on the same street as the weekly Phoenixville Farmers Market, so we are able to walk there every Saturday morning, rain or shine. We always pick up a variety of fresh vegetables from the various vendors and we usually pick up something for lunch AND dinner as well. Luckily, we recently bought a house on W Bridge St, so we can still walk there on Saturdays when the weather is nice!

We haven’t missed a week yet getting either cookies or “swamp mix” from Sweetwater Baking Company (Chuck says they must put crack in it LOL!) and we barely go a week without grabbing a savory pie from Nomadic Pies! We have tried the salmon from Wild for Salmon (delish!), all the mushrooms from Oley Valley Mushrooms (love them!), chile pepper spice mixes from Chile Spot (hot!!), rolls and pies from Saint Peters Bakery & Cafe (yum!) and more! We are also hooked on the ribs and bbq pork from Vesta Barbecue & Catering and have even started emailing them ahead of time to put in our order (they often sell out of the ribs).

There are always a handful of non-food vendors as well and we have picked up a few unique items on occasion, including a wood-carved pepper mill, plants for our backyard, and the most awesome Easter bunny holding a basket of cracked pastel eggs filled with succulents.

You support local farmers and businesses when you shop at the farmers market. This is a great way to get fresh, healthy food while also helping to boost the local economy. There are a variety of vendors selling everything from tomatoes to carrots to potatoes. You can also find local honey, eggs, and cheese at the market. The market is also a great place to chat with local farmers and get tips on how to prepare your produce.

It is so much fun to listen to music, watch the children playing in the children’s area, and just soak in the atmosphere at this market.

We have never been to another market that compares to Phoenixville’s … this is definitely a very special farmers market.

The weekly family-friendly event features live music by local musicians and you might even find a Poet for Hire!

There is always a food truck or two at the market, so bring a blanket and listen to music while you enjoy breakfast or lunch under the trees.

The Phoenixville Farmers Market, located underneath the Veterans Memorial Gay Street Bridge along French Creek, is open year-round. The main season runs weekly, every Saturday, from the beginning of May through November from 9 am to noon. A smaller version of the market runs every Saturday between Thanksgiving and Christmas, from 10 am to 12 pm; and the Winter Farmers Market Phoenixville is held on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays from January through March and every Saturday in April from 10 am to 12 pm.

Since 2002, the PXV Farmers Market has helped support local agriculture by connecting local farmers with consumers. Enjoy locally grown, fresh food and a chance to be a part of our community.

We strongly encourage others in Phoenixville to support this market by stopping by each and every week to pick up a few items.

Visit www.phoenixvillefarmersmarket.org for a list of providers and to find out who the weekly musical guest will be each week.

Our Review

04.16.2019 – We made it a point to stop by often during the winter markets to support our local vendors! We are so excited about the full market starting again in just a few weeks!

07.09.2018 – We have lived here for a year now and have rarely missed a week! It is so awesome to wake up every Saturday morning and watch our granddaughter play at the market while we enjoy listening to the music and then to come home with something yummy for lunch or dinner!
