Scary season is here! One thing is for sure about people from Pennsylvania … we take Halloween very seriously! One of our favorite things is to check out new local haunted attractions designed to send us into a state of CHAOS and FEAR! Luckily, there are plenty of them near and around the Phoenixville area! Here are our picks for The 5 Scariest Haunted Attractions in PA 2022 based on their websites and some very scary trailers! Pennhurst Asylum
September 24th – November 5th, 2022, 250 Commonwealth Drive, Spring City, PA 19475
Located on the grounds of a former mental hospital, this terrifying attraction in Spring City is full of thrills and chills. Paranormal investigation tours and daytime history tours of the site are also available.
Be sure to stop by Tuned Up Brewery for some finely crafted ales while you are in town!
Bates Motel
September 23rd – October 31st, 2022, 1835 Middletown Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342
For 32 years, this Hollywood-grade special effect scarefest has frightened all who dare to enter. From wandering through the abandoned motel to hitching a ride on a 25-minute haunted hayride, you are bound to get caught by something evil… Watch out!
Valley of Fear

For over 30 years the Valley of Fear has spooked its guests with a variety of thrilling haunted experiences. This year, along with the original haunted hayride and pirate-themed shipwreck cove, Miles Manor Haunted House has officially returned, reopened for the first time in eight years!
Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres
September 20th – October 30th, 2022, 881 Highland Road, Newtown, PA
Experience the longest and spookiest hayrides in the area. This 1.25-mile ride through the abandoned “House in the Hollow” and “Field of Fright” will bring your worst nightmares to life.
Fright Factory
September 23rd – October 31st, 2022, 2200 S. Swanson Street, Philadelphia, PA 19148
The basement of a 120-year-old factory is the setting for this creepy fan-favorite in South Philly. The 25,000-square-foot space has three themed areas, including Industrial Nightmare, South Side Sanatorium, and Fright Factory Unholy.
Fright Factory was featured on The Travel Channel as one of the scariest haunted attractions in America.

Lincoln Mill Haunted House

There is a brand-new haunted house attraction in Manayunk! On the grounds of an abandoned construction site, dead bodies have recently been uncovered. What will you uncover about their dark and gruesome past? As you walk through the defunct textile mill, you will begin to feel the spirits of the workers who were subject to torment and experimentation by their evil boss nearly 100 years ago.
Scream Mountain at Spring Mountain Adventures
