Rec Room by Conshohocken Brewing Company
Right on Bridge Street, across from the Colonial Theater, the Rec Room by Conshohocken Brewing Company boasts “great beer, great food and a great time” … and, so far, they have delivered on that promise!
As of today, we have been three times (so far) … and, each time, the weather was so perfect that we decided to sit outside … so we haven’t actually been inside yet!
The last time we went, even though it was lunchtime, I thought it would be nice to have a Manhattan (it’s always 5:00 somewhere, right??!). Next time, I will sample some of their beers!
I ordered the Dos Steak Tacos (one of them is pictured in the front) and Chuck ordered the Fiesta Tacos (pictured in the back) and we each traded one so we could try them both. They were both dee-lish-us, but I think next time I will keep both of my steak tacos! The steak was very tasty, very tender, and it was cooked in a bbq sauce with some really nice caramelized onions in a double corn tortilla and topped with lettuce and tomato. I added some of the sauce that came on the side on top and BAM! It sure was tasty! The fiesta taco has fajita-spiced roasted corn, edamame, red onions, bell peppers, and black beans and was topped with smoked cheddar, avocado (YUM) and cilantro. Trust me, it was good.
Although we haven’t played yet, the Rec Room has 4 shuffleboard tables, 5 ping pong tables, and a foosball table, making this the ultimate hang out right on Bridge Street! Highly recommended!
Here is what Franke Daniel, Tap Room Manager at Victory Brewing Company had to say about the Rec Room on Facebook:
“Rec Room is an absolutely excellent addition to Bridge Street! The food was beyond delicious and came out to the table fast, what more could you ask for? Olivia, our server, was very knowledgeable and attentive to our table the entire time we were there. The beer was top notch – Motherload packs quite the punch! Overall, I would definitely recommend Rec Room to my friends and family – or anybody for that matter – that are looking to have a fun night out on the town!”
Everything we have tried has been absolutely delicious. You can’t go wrong with the Dos Tacos … in fact, be sure to add an extra to make it Tres! You will love them. The Shrimp Po’Boy is also very good.
